Kookaburra Down Under

Kookaburra Down Under is situated in a grand 1920's Coogee mansion. The very spacious and eclectic studio apartment has just been renovated and offers guests a unique space to enjoy whilst holidaying in Coogee.

The apt is approximately 50 sq metres and is surrounded in thick sandstone walls that have been hand rendered to replicate a Greek hideaway.

Kookaburra Down Under offers a very comfortable king size bed with a cosy feathered mattress topper and feathered pillows.
The king bed can be split into 2 long single beds offering a great space for friends who are travelling together.

The walk in bathroom is spacious, easily accessible and designed to suit all age groups. Quality brass finishings with a marble basin are accentuated by a vintage sewing machine base and vintage designed tiles.

The kitchen is well equipped for travellers who may want to have extended stays. There is an Espresso machine , hot plate , hot pot , toaster , sandwich maker , cookbooks , fridge and microwave and a well stocked pantry.
Also within the apartment is a laundry with washing machine and second toilet.

The location is perfect and is located only 2 minutes walk to the beach, shops, cafes and transport.

A few steps outside and you are on a sun -drenched terrace with BBQ and dining table with chairs. The terrace overlooks Coogee Bay Road so there are water views and it is a great spot for fireworks on New Years Eve. The terrace is shared with my family.

Other outdoor space to enjoy is our award winning landscaped tropical garden at the rear of the building. The garden has large dining table and chairs along with a hot and cold outdoor shower.

Our property is unique to Coogee. We live on the premises directly above Kookaburra Down Under. It is perfect for guests who enjoy staying in unique spaces that offer comfort, are well designed and are reasonably priced.

Private entrance and access to a sun drenched terrace that overlooks Coogee Bay Road. There is also access to the award winning tropical garden at the rear of the building.

We are located 30 mins walk to UNSW or 5 mins drive
