Eden Orchard and Farmstay

Eden Farmstay at Cygnet in Tasmania's South is more than just self-contained family accommodation.
The farm stay has been set up with families in mind, spacious and comfortable.

We have three and four bedroom self-contained accommodation.
Eden and the Farmhouse, with comfortable beds and electric blankets, a range of books, toys, games and DVDs. In front of the farm stay you'll find a shared, enclosed garden area with playground, bunnies and barbecue. Kites are available, fossils to be found, and Dad hasn't been forgotten with great fishing spots close by and fishing rods are available.

Set on a 40-acre farm, 45-minute drive from Hobart and ten-minute drive from local beaches, it's the perfect place for a rural vacation. There's a range of farm animals including cows, alpacas, goats, pigs, turkeys and chickens.

Join your hosts in the late afternoons on their rounds to feed all the animals, most of them will eat out of your hand, even the big cows cannot resist a juicy apple, a great experience for young and old. You'll be within driving distance of several attractions including Tahune Airwalk, Bruny Island, Hastings Cave, Ida Bay Railway, Huon Jet Boat, local wineries and art galleries.

EDEN:
Eden has a spacious layout with three bedrooms, a big lounge room, a kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Eden is wheelchair friendly, it sleeps up to 6 people and is ideal for families or couples. There is a lovely deck with pergola in front of Eden, the perfect spot for a glass of wine while watching the children play in the garden.

Bedding configuration is a master bedroom with a queen ensemble, the second bedroom with two singles ensembles and is also spacious enough to add a comfortable fold out bed for an extra person, the third bedroom has just a single ensemble and opens up into the garden area with a sliding door.

An undercover carport is available for Eden.


THE FARM HOUSE:
The Farmhouse is the original farmhouse on the property. It has a lovely country feel with a very large kitchen and dining area, a comfortable living room with wood fire ( has safety surrounds for small children) 4 bedrooms, a bathroom and seperate toilet and laundry. It sleeps up to 8 people, great for couples traveling together or for those with large families.

Bedding configuration is a master bedroom with a king size ensemble, there is a second large parents bedroom with a queen ensemble (this also fits a fold out bed if needed) the third bedroom has two single ensembles and the fourth bedroom has a single bed.

RATES:
These rates are for the Farmhouse only. Eden is $140 from May to September and $160 for the rest of the year.
All rates are based on 2 guests extra guests are charged $30 per night per adults and $15 per child

Our farm is 45 minutes from Hobart and is central to great attractions like Tahune Air-walk, Hastings Caves, Ida Bay Railway, Mt Wellington, Salamanca markets, Bruny Island ( you can book your Bruny Island cruise through at no extra cost ) Grandview Cheese, Huon Jet boat and more. You will also find a number of great local wineries, galleries and restaurants nearby.
