Elm Cottage offers guests five unique cottages to rent; Yellow Box, River Gum, Red Gum, Blue Gum and Rivers Edge. Each is pet friendly, self-catered and offer you, our valued guest:

The Cottages are each distinct from the next, each providing you with a slightly different rural retreat, however all showcasing the same peaceful atmosphere, which is guaranteed to have you relaxing in no time.

A visit to Elm Cottage offers you a home away from home, where you can experience breathtaking landscapes from your private balcony, unwind to the sound of the whispering river below you, or be left in awe by the magnificent plant and wildlife, as you forget the stresses of modern life, and enjoy a luxury retreat on us!

During your visit to Elm Cottage and the Snowy Mountains, take the opportunity to have an up close encounter with some of Australias unique wildlife; our property is home to wombats, echidnas and platypus, all living in their natural habitat.

Each of our immaculately kept country cottages features exquisite furnishings and stylish dcor, as well as reverse cycle air conditioning and heating.

Guests who chose to stay in our holiday cottages are also able to access our ever-growing children and adults DVD library at no extra charge; plus board games to ensure you are always kept entertained during your luxury escape to Elm Cottage. All cottages have Foxtel Premium Packages.

As Elm Cottage has a 4.5 Star rating, and with linen and towels included in the cost of our cottages, all you need to bring is yourself and your groceries.

Tumut boasts both a Woolworths and a Coles supermarket, both of which are open until 10pm for your convenience.

We understand the benefits of, and encourage everyone to holiday with their pets, which is why all of our cottages are dog friendly cottages.

Though while dogs are allowed inside the Cottages, we ask that they are kept off all furniture and bedding, to ensure our luxury escapes remain luxurious for future guests.

To assist with this we supply dog wastage bags, and we also supply dog bowls and dog treats. Should dogs deficate on the bedding or carpets a $200 cleaning fee will be charged. Veterinary services are available nearby in Tumut.

You can check in to our holiday cottages from 2pm onwards, while check out is 10am, unless a late check out has been organised.

Elm Cottage comprises four private, pet friendly, fully self-contained cottages overlooking the Goobarragandra River in Tumut, making a magical destination for a relaxing holiday. Just four hours drive from Sydney or 2.5 hours from Canberra, Elm Cottage takes you away from city life, helps you to slow down and enjoy nature at its own pace. A truly rural Australian experience.

Enjoy a peaceful walk along the river bank, fish for trout, take a dip at our private beach, and when the sun sets, stargaze into the crystal clear skies, before falling asleep to the whisper of the Goobarragandra River below you. View the birdlife, see an echnida, platypus and wombat in their natural habitat , take in the natural beauty of the Goobarragandra Valley whilst recharging your batteries.

RIVER GUM COTTAGE - Sleeps 7:
River Gum cottage has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A queen bed in the master bedroom with private Ensuite and walk in robe, the second bedroom a king bed, both of these rooms have sliding doors leading out on to the balcony and the third bedroom has a bunk bed and single bed.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc., plus separate dining room, lounge room with TV, (Foxtel Premium Package)DVD, and Stereo player plus sofa bed, free Wi-Fi and docking station. Full reverse cycle air conditioning and a full bathroom with bath, and laundry with washing machine, dryer plus another shower and toilet.

You also have a large enclosed balcony with BBQ and outdoor setting looking over the river.

RED GUM COTTAGE - Sleeps four people:
Red Gum cottage has a king size bed in the master bedroom with private Ensuite and bath spa, and the second bedroom has two king single beds also with ensuite.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc., separate dining room, lounge room with TV plus Foxtel-Premium Package, DVD, and CD player, plus free Wi-Fi. Full reverse cycle air conditioning and a laundry with washing machine and dryer.

You also have a huge enclosed balcony with BBQ and outdoor setting overlooking the river below plus a fully fenced outdoor area for your pet.

BLUE GUM COTTAGE - Sleeps two adults and two young children:
Blue Gum cottage has a queen size bed in the main bedroom and a bunk bed in the second bedroom. Lounge room, eat in area, fully equipped kitchen, laundry with washing machine and dryer, and bathroom with shower.

Reverse cycle heating and cooling, TV plus Foxtel (Premium package), DVD, and CD player and free Wi-Fi. You also have a large balcony with gas BBQ and outdoor setting overlooking the river below.

RIVER'S EDGE COTTAGE - Sleeps 7:
Rivers Edge cottage was built in 1905 and is just 18 metres from the river. There are 4 bedrooms, two bedrooms with king size beds, one with queen and the third bedroom has a single bed. It has a well equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath and separate shower, an ensuite off the master bedroom as well as a third toilet outside.

Reverse cycle air conditioning in lounge room with TV, DVD and Foxtel (Premium Package) and docking station. There is no Wi-Fi in this cottage, due to poor reception. Board games, DVD library are provided for your enjoyment . Laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer, balcony overlooking the gardens and river, plus your own outdoor setting and BBQ.

This cottage is also fully fenced with a half an acre back yard. You have a campfire (firepit) beside the river for your enjoyment. Under cover parking.
